Our vocational training initiative addresses the lack of qualified personnel in the different departments of the Swiss hotel and restaurant industry. We aim to offer Swiss hoteliers and restaurants owners access to a pool of future employees who completed a 10-week accelerated EHL vocational training program.

Joining Forces

We source potential employees and train them on our Lausanne campus. We provide training resources, accommodation and board for individuals with limited financial means. As the future employer, you contribute to the training costs in exchange for a 2-years work commitment from the trainee.

Work-Ready

During 10 weeks, your future employees will practice daily in the different EHL food outlets and hospitality infrastructure. They will follow intensive language courses and learn the values of the Swiss hospitality.

Accelerated Vocational Training

Participants will follow a rigorous and intensive program spanning 10-weeks. They will be evaluated weekly on practical techniques and competencies. The workshop format will help build their soft skills. 

Key facts: 

  • Choice of 2 tracks: Culinary or Service
  • Intensive language courses (English, French, German).
  • Duration: 10 weeks, full-time.
  • Training periods: February - April or May - July 2023
  • Contribution to the training costs:  3'500 CHF upfront + 600 CHF/month during the first 6 months of employment.

The Program in 5 Easy Steps

  1. You secure access to the program with an entry fee. 
  2. We source and select a pool of individuals to join the training.
  3. At week 4 of the training program, you are invited to select your future employee from our pool of trainees.
  4. You sign a 2-year work contract with the individual you selected.  
  5. After 10 weeks of EHL training, your new employee joins your company.
