EHL Group is dedicated to positively impacting communities globally, driven by our values of excellence, family and learning, and our culture of caring. We support economic growth and work towards reducing inequalities through our corporate social responsibility efforts and initiatives and partnerships with local non-profit organizations.  We also contribute though volunteering and donations.

Our activities include initiatives such as charity nights and fundraising events for various causes. Giving back to our communities is how we strive to help create a better world.

Commitments & Accomplishments

  • Over the last 5 years, the EHL community volunteered over 4’300 hours, demonstrating our commitment to community involvement. The engagement on our volunteering platform for students and staff is increasing each year. This year, our objective is to achieve a 35% participation ratio for those registered on the platform.
  • We set up three new skills-sharing partnerships and provided NGOs with online vocational training materials and methods to enhance their capabilities.
  • We launched a catalog of services for the external public, broadening access to our resources and expertise to benefit the wider community.

Broadening Access to Our Eco-Conscious Campus

In Lausanne, our eco-conscious site creates a sense of harmony with the natural environment and openness to the local community. It facilitates spontaneous interactions between students, professors, and visitors from many backgrounds, who can access all our facilities.

We launched a catalog of services for the external public, broadening access to our resources and expertise to benefit the wider community.

Expanding Skills-Sharing Partnerships and Vocational Training

We established three new skills-sharing partnerships, providing NGOs with online vocational training materials and methods to enhance their capabilities.

These partnerships allow us to share valuable expertise and resources, equipping NGOs with tools to better serve their communities.

By fostering this exchange of skills, we aim to create long-lasting impacts, supporting NGOs in achieving greater self-sufficiency and effectiveness in their missions.

Alumni in Japan come together to help children in foster home

In Tokyo, 22 EHL alumni led by the Japan Stamm committee came together for a heartwarming volunteer event at a foster home. The event aimed to support 118 children through various tasks and foster connections. The EHL Alumni embraced this opportunity, bonding with the children and each other, highlighting the power of empathy and community engagement.

This initiative, inspired by EHL's core principles, marked a departure from traditional alumni gatherings, reinforcing their commitment to social responsibility and making a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

Our Social and Environmental Report

sustainability-week-teaching

In 2020, EHL released its first social and environmental report, confirming the start of its journey towards sustainability by publishing a set of commitments approved by the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.  The report is now released yearly, covering the actions over the course of the previous year.

There is still a lot to be done, but we are devoted to take on the challenges of today’s society and develop our metrics for more precise reporting from year to year, to be able to set precise objectives for positive change over the short, medium and long term.
