EHL is always a step ahead of its time. From a small Swiss hotel school, EHL has evolved into an international group that offers a large and complete range of learning and business solutions, with campuses in Switzerland and Asia. The Group is supported by a worldwide alumni network of 30,000 professionals and several thousand industry partners.
To augment the level of excellence in hospitality worldwide, our Group produces research projects, offers consulting services, nurtures startups and generates an important innovation pipeline. All of this while integrating cutting-edge digital solutions and projects into its roadmap.
Above all, EHL is a state of mind, based on our forward-looking values and vision. We invite you to learn more about our Group and join us in shaping the future of hospitality.
The EHL Education Group has three campuses on two continents.
Each school campus has its own unique offer of programs, services, and specialized activities in relation to the industry.
Founded as the world’s first hotel school in 1893, EHL - Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne is our flagship school, which pioneered the methods of Swiss hospitality management education and achieved rankings as the world’s best hospitality management university.
EHL’s new campus in Singapore delivers the Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management and offers semester exchange options to give our students a global business perspective and big-city life experience in a leading hub of innovation and sustainability culture.
EHL Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality, also known as EHL Campus Passugg, is a leading provider of traditional Swiss hospitality education. The school offers small class sizes, professional training and an “affective” approach to hospitality.
EHL launched the first incubator for hospitality concepts and start-ups in 2009 to create a dedicated resource for the development of new hospitality and F&B concepts.
In March 2023, the EHL Innovation Hub moved from its previous site at Chalet-à-Gobet to the new EHL premises at Grand Chemin in Epalinges.
This relocation strengthens the synergies between the Innovation Hub and the campus ecosystem and facilitates the experimentation and testing of technological innovations in the field of hospitality, as imagined by start-ups, partners, researchers, and EHL student entrepreneurs.
The EHL group has been serving up excellence in hospitality education since 1893, when its flagship institution became the world’s first hotel school, founded by Jacques Tschumi. This was the start of our genuine, historical proximity to the tourism and hotel industry, which differentiates us from competitors today.
Over the past 125 years, the hotel school (EHL Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne) grew into a thriving international university with a consulting branch and academic partnerships, under the ownership of the EHL foundation. The growth and diversification of our activities lead to the creation of EHL Education Group, to allow greater synergies between these academic and business structures.
EHL Foundation is the sole owner of EHL holding SA, and its Board of Trustees defines the EHL vision and founding values. It makes use of the Swiss and international network of its President and members, while producing a positive impact on the reputation and brand. The historic organization of EHL as a Foundation ensures that the primary focus remains the development of high-quality education for our students.
Our status as a non-profit foundation signifies the reinvestment of all profits to further enhance the quality of our students' education. This structure allows us to deploy a variety of products and offerings in both Swiss and international markets. It enables students, faculty and administrative personnel to evolve in an environment that is in line with the hospitality industry's expectations. Most importantly, being a not-for-profit company facilitates our work in developing academic programs and resources, thereby reinforcing our status as the world's leader in higher education in Hospitality Management.
Step by step, we are developing a sustainable socially inclusive business model that touches on every aspect of our organization. All our initiatives and projects are directly or indirectly linked to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We defined 4 pillars for our Sustainability Strategy Contributing Beyond Education :
EHL attracts faculty members who are consistently ranked among the best in their respective fields.
As a University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, EHL invests significant resources in research projects and faculty development
Research Projects.
Our hospitality management degrees are recognized for quality and employability
